my story
My fitness journey changed forever when I stepped into my first barre class after becoming a mom. Fifteen minutes in, I fainted — and in that moment of vulnerability, found my calling.

I was a former ballerina turned stay-at-home mom who loved barre and started filming workouts in my kitchen — no fancy setup, no professional camera.
At the time, there weren’t any barre workouts on YouTube, and I had no idea those grainy videos would eventually cultivate a global community and launch a full-blown fitness platform.

After leaving an abusive relationship a few years later, I became a single mom of three. I hustled to make ends meet, driving all over town with three little kids to teach barre classes at various studios and gyms for just $25 each.
Then COVID hit, and my old YouTube videos suddenly took off, with some garnering a million views.
With just $6 in my bank account, I launched Zoom Sessions, built a garage studio, and got to work. Women online believed in me, shared my workouts, and helped take Fit by Coach Kel to the next level.
The biggest barriers to fitness are time and motivation, so I design workout sequences that are efficient, effective, and carefully structured to deliver results. We skip the fluff, but never skip the challenge.
Fit by Coach Kel has always been about showing up for yourself. My workouts are designed to improve the lives of women who are juggling work, kids, and a million responsibilities.
